2020 Formula DRIFT Pro Championship Media Applications
Welcome to the Media Application page for the 2019 Formula DRIFT season. Before you get started, we wanted to fill you in on a couple rule changes/additions/reminders for 2020.
- If you're shooting EDITORIAL for a recognized media outlet (not a team), please skip down to EDITORIAL ACCESS
- If you're shooting for a team/brand then you will need a hardcard for EACH team/driver you are shooting for.
- The first hardcard will cost the traditional $400 (Pro) or $300 (Pro2), and subsequent hardcards are $100 (Pro) or $75 (Pro2) per team/driver.
- As seen in #1, Pro2 hardcard for cost for media has been reduced from $400 to $300 in consideration of the amount of Pro2 events as compared to Pro.
- If you are not strictly editorial, you WILL need a hardcard.
- Agencies (as seen below) will need to submit plans for the season in advance so Formula DRIFT may apply a licensing fee.
- Pro2 media will be restricted to Pro2 activities. You will not be able to shoot the main Pro competition as years past.
- This is an effort to give Pro and editorial media the room to do their thing.
- Media briefings will have a strict "lock out" policy in which people who show up late will not be allowed to enter the media center.
- We will have XL vests available this year.
- We will be hosting a Media Track Walk on Friday AM of each event, immediately following the media briefing, to allow media a close-up look at where you can (and can't) shoot from.
- Only Formula DRIFT remote cameras will be permitted.
- If you are found in violation of any rule or guideline as outlined by Formula DRIFT and/or communicated in the media briefing, you will be immediately removed for the day with a review following in the evening.

Editorial Media
This is the official application process for EDITORIAL MEDIA at Formula DRIFT events with a recognized outlet. If you are shooting for a driver/team, you will need to apply to a different page - select your option HERE.
Please note - when you are filling out the application below, be as thorough as possible for your best chance of being approved.
APPLY FOR EDITORIAL MEDIA
Single-Team Media
This is the official application process for a videographer or photographer shooting for a SINGLE (1) driver/team at Formula DRIFT events. If you are shooting for more than one driver/team, you will need to apply via the MULTI-TEAM link HERE.
Please note - if we discover that you have provided content to more than the team/driver you have specified in this application, your hardcard will be revoked until penalty payment is received.
Please fill out and submit the application. Upon approval, an invoice will be emailed to you for payment.
APPLY FOR SINGLE-TEAM MEDIA
Multi-Team Media
This is the official application process for a videographer or photographer shooting for multiple drivers/teams at Formula DRIFT events. If you are shooting for only ONE (1) driver/team, you will need to apply via the SINGLE-TEAM link HERE.
Please note - when you are filling out the application below, please select the number of drivers you will be working with and then fill out each line with their information.
Please fill out and submit the application. Upon approval, an invoice will be emailed to you for payment.
APPLY FOR MULTI-TEAM MEDIA
Agency
This is the official application process if you are with an AGENCY who represents a variety of brands, teams, projects, etc. An agency is defined in this case as a company or individual who has been contracted/hired to, but not limited to, capture content, direct videography, and produce a piece of content designed to promote a for-profit company in exchange for monetary compensation.
To be approved, please fill out the form below with an explanation of your activities at Formula DRIFT events in 2019. This includes video projects, athlete representation, commercial filming, native content production for a paid-platform, etc. Please be as detailed as possible including which drivers, which brands, which platforms, etc.
Someone from Formula DRIFT will reach out within ONE (1) week to pick up the conversation and help you through the process.

SINGLE EVENT HARDCARD
This is the official application process for a videographer or photographer shooting for a SINGLE Formula DRIFT event.
Please note - when you are filling out the application below, please select the event from the list and your total will be populated for you.
